Food Services
Remember that we offer all of our services free of charge to all people, regardless of their financial needs. But we do ask you to consider donating to us so that we could keep this mission going, because we are ONLY supported through donations.
We give out a load of fruits and vegetables for you to take home. We give them out during fitness classes, from our home, and in different neighborhoods. And yes, the food actually looks good. We don't give trash! The food is free and you could take all you want -- we simply ask you to use whatever you take as to avoid food waste. To know when we give out the free produce, you need to join our email list.
We get this food from local food companies. Sometimes, the food is discarded because their lifespan is so short, such as leafy greens and cucumbers. Sometimes, there is more food than the company could sell. And sometimes, the food just goes bad, but we leave the bad food alone. We don't give trash. We make sure that whatever we give would be something that WE OURSELVES would eat.
Neighborhood Pop Ups
This service is still currently in the works. But once we get this service going, we'll pick a different neighborhood every week to "pop up" and give out produce. We'll do this through a "coordinator" (someone who lives in that neighborhood) who will allow us to park on or by their property, and this person would spread the word to his or her neighbors.
Anybody could set up a neighborhood pop up. We don't discriminate any neighborhood. We don't judge if a neighborhood is too "wealthy" or too "poor." It's not for us to judge your financial situation. Our main goal is to help ALL people get healthy in an easy way.
Once we set up in a neighborhood, we won't just serve the folks who live there. We will invite others to follow us to these neighborhoods. We would have enough produce for everybody and we will have leftovers.
Neighborhood pop ups don't have to be in residential areas. They could be in a place of business. Just be sure to clear it with your landlord if you're renting out a space for your business. And most importantly, make sure there is a place we can easily park and set up.
